Chiang Mai hotel pick up and board the earliest flight to the land of mist Mae Hong Son. The town nestles in a deep valley surrounded by high mountain ranges. The mystical town is virtually covered in mist all year round. On arrival our tour guide will transfer you to the long tail boat pier for an exhilarating 45 minute long tail boat trip along the Pai river. You view fantastic natural scenery, teak covered mountains and pass small riverside villages living as they did centuries ago. The long tail boat stops at a Padong Long Neck Hilltribe village. The women wear golden rings around their necks and it is customary to add a ring each year.

Return to Mae Hong Son where lunch is served at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, visit beautiful Burmese style temples Wat Jongkam, Wat Jongklang, Wat Doi Kong Moo and Wat Hao Wieng. From the top of Wat Doi Kong Moo, you will have an amazing view over Mae Hong Son and the surrounding countryside.

Transfer back to Mae Hong Son airport and take the late flight back to Chiang Mai or transfer to your next destination.
