Arrive in Bangkok and take a transit flight to Chiang Mai, arrive and transfer to hotel.

Chiang Mai (B/D)

Visit Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, Chiang Mai’s most famous and most visible landmark. Visit the handicraft village where skills handed down from generation to generation produce traditional handicrafts.

For dinner, savor a Traditional Khantoke dinner and enjoy the sounds and beauty of the Traditional Northern Thai dance.

Experience the elation of a Treetop Canopy flight. There is nothing quite like it.

Hotel pick up in Chiang Mai to Mae Kam Pong village 1,300 meters above sea level. At the village there are traditional hand made products. You walk in picturesque evergreen forest with many streams and waterfalls. After lunch you gear up for your exhilarating 3 hour rain-forest tree canopy journey. You soar high in the canopy through 1500 year old giant rain forest trees using ingenious 2 Km system of platforms, tree houses and sky bridges. Flying in the rain-forest canopy is extremely exhilarating and an unforgettable experience. There are over 200 bird species in this area and monkeys are often seen.

Transfer to your Chiang Mai hotel.

Chiang Mai – Wat Chan (B)

Morning pick up from your Chiang Mai hotel and head north to Mae Malai Market where local Thai people trade their goods. Continue to the mountains until you reach Baan Wat Chan, the home of the Karen Tribe people for over a century. From here you head to the Karen Lodge in the mountains completely surrounded by forest, mountains and the natural sounds of birds and mountain streams.The afternoon is spent exploring the pristine nature of rice fields, hills and rivers around the Lodge.

You can swim in crystal clear mountain water or relax at the “sunbathing beach” surrounded by forest clad mountains.

At 18.30 Dinner is served at the Lodge restaurant followed by a fascinating cultural show with sounds of musical instruments and lively performances of the proud young hill tribe people. The emotional show gives insight to the lifestyle of the hill tribe people. The evening is rounded off chatting around a log fire before retiring to the comfort of your private chalet.

Wat Chan (B/L/D)

Morning start around 07.30am with breakfast at the lodge.

09.00am Trek from the lodge through the jungle for 3 hours along mountains and streams to the Elephant camp. En route your guide will reveal many edible fruits and medicinal plants. Picnic lunch at the camp. Afternoon, elephant ride through the mountains and along streams for 1 1⁄2 hours. Continue hiking a short distance to the Karen Hilltirbe village Baan Houy Ya-Tai. Here you relax at the village and enjoy a delicious barbecue before retiring to your hill tribe house for the evening. Private bedroom with mattress and mosquito netting is provided.

Wat Chan (B/L/D)

Breakfast at village and trek for 1 hour though the jungle and rice field to Baan Houy Ya-Nai a Karen hill tribe village where an ancient traditional Karen ceremony welcomes you. At the village you observe traditional daily activities such as rice pounding, weaving, and have the opportunity to see traditional hunting equipment. Transfer with local truck to visit Baan Sao Dang, a Lisu hill tribe village where you witness daily life and continue to the Royal Project Baan Sao Duang cultivating indigenous and non-indigenous plants. Picnic lunch is served at the village or the Royal Project. Here you can taste the delicious coffee grown at the Royal Project. Afternoon, local truck transports you back to the Lodge where you relax until around 16.00.

Dinner is preceded with a cooking demonstration prepared with vegetables grown at the Royal Project. Afterwards enjoy sitting around the campfire enjoying fragrances of the jungle in brilliant moonlight and glittering stars before retiring to your cottage.

Wat Chan – Pai (B)

Breakfast at 08:00 and relax and go with local truck to Wat Chan and continue by van to Pai passing fantastic natural scenery, emerald green forests, hills and deep valleys. Lunch is served in Pai at a Thai restaurant. Afternoon, visit Wat Namhoo which contains a sacred Chiang Saen Buddha image. The Buddhas topknot opens and contains holy water which is sought after by local Thais. You then visit a Chinese village with Chinese mud houses. Many locally grown tea's can be tasted here.

Dinner and overnight at Resort in Pai.

Pai – Mae Hong Sorn (B)

Breakfast at 08:00 and leave for Tham Lod, the largest cave in Mae Hong Son and explore the wonders of the cave interior. Proceed on to Fish Cave, where thousands of fish, considered sacred, frolic in their natural habitat. Drive further on to Mae Hong Son, the land of mist. Have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, enjoy a refreshing boat trip along on the Pai river to visit the exotic “Padong Long Neck Hilltribe” who decorate their bodies wearing golden rings around their necks, arms, and legs. Overnight at the hotel. Evening : Dinner at a local restaurant.

Mae Hong Son – Chiang Mai (B)

08:00 am After breakfast at the hotel, visit Myanmar style temples Wat Jongkam, Wat Hao Wieng and Wat Doi Kong Moo. A spectacular view of the town and the surrounding countryside can be seen from the Wat Doi Kong Moo temple. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Transfer to the airport for flight back to Chiang Mai.
