From Bangkoks’ floating market, to the world heritage ruins Ayutthaya, the white sand beaches of Koh Lan, and the magnificent temples of Chiang Mia this trip is a vibrant bundle of all things Thai.
DAY 01 Bangkok
Arrive in Bangkok, where you’ll be driven to your hotel for an afternoon exploring the city at your leisure.
DAY 02 Ayutthaya (B)
After breakfast you’ll travel to Siamese kingdom of Ayutthaya, filled with sparkling temples, lakeside palaces and the extensive ruins of World Heritage sites. Here, discover the crumbling stone Khmer temples of Lopburi including the three-domed Phra Prang Sam Yot. Once you’ve had your fill of history and power (if that’s possible), head back to Bangkok for the night.
DAY 03 The Floating Market (B)
Take a short journey to the most photographed floating market in Ratchaburi, Bangkok’s floating market scene. Forget shopping in stores with the tourists: this is the real deal. Watch market traders buy and sell huge bunches of bananas, other fruit and vegetables and much more, all while effortlessly floating on wooden long tail boats.
DAY 04 The Grand Palace – Pattaya (B)
A day of world-famous religious icons: today you’ll visit the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaeo with its beautiful Emerald Buddha, as well as the glorious Golden Buddha. End the day with a massage at Wat Pho, a more relaxing Thai Tradition.
DAY 05 Pattaya (B/L)
For an injection of glamour, hop in a speedboat to spend the day relaxing, swimming and snorkeling off the white sand beaches of Kho Lan. The water here is so clear you’ll need to pinch yourself to believe it’s real.
DAY 06 Pattaya (B)
The huge gardens of Nong Nooch Village are your port-of-call today. Stroll the beautiful Orchid garden, meet elephants, roam through temples or even watch a Thai boxing show if you time your day well.
DAY 07 Pattaya – Bangkok (B)
Today you’ll journey to the northern, walled city of Chiang Mai, via Bangkok airport.
DAY 08 Chiang Mai (B/D)
Visit Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, Chiang Mai’s most famous Temple landmark. Visit the handicraft village where skills handed down from generation to generation produce traditional handicrafts. For dinner, savor a Traditional Khantoke dinner and enjoy the sounds and beauty of the Traditional Northern Thai dance.
DAY 09 Chiang Mai (B)
Your Asian extravaganza ends on a high today, as you visit Thailand’s highest peak at Doi Inthanon National Park. On your way up to 2,565 metres above sea level you’ll pass incredible vistas of northern Thailand’s forests, and mighty waterfalls such as the Vachiratharn falls. Twin pagodas built to commemorate the birthdays of the King and Queen of Thailand will indicate that you’re nearing the top. On the way back down, you’ll pass through a hill tribe market, ideal for a souvenir of this awesome day.
DAY 10 Depart Chiang Mai (B)
Enjoy your last day in Chiang Mai before your onward flight.
