10 days filled with pleasant surprises in Thailand and Laos. Discover the magic of Chiang Mai, Culture, history, elephant riding beautiful scenery, ancient temples and most of all experience the friendly Thai culture. An hours flight from Chiang Mai will have you in Laos, where you will step back in time, Luang Prabang, a UNESCO world heritage town with fascinating architecture and friendly people. You visit Khmer ruins, which although not as large as Angkor Wat, many say are more fascinating and of course stunning natural scenery is everywhere.

Tour Itinerary - 10 Days

  • Day 01

    Chiang Mai

    Arrive in Bangkok and take a transit flight to Chiang Mai, transfer to hotel.

  • Day 02

    Chiang Mai (B)

    Visit Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, Chiang Mai’s most famous and most visible landmark. Visit the handicraft village where skills handed down from generation to generation produce traditional handicrafts.

    For dinner, savor a Traditional Khantoke dinner and enjoy the sounds and beauty of the Traditional Northern Thai dance.

  • Day 03

    Chiang Mai (B)

    This is an early morning start, with first stop at an Orchid and Butterfly farm. You continue to Mae Taeng elephant camp where you see elephants bathing and a show where elephants respond to commands of trainers. You are then off on an exciting 1 hour elephant ride through indigenous jungle and continue with a 15 minute traditional Thai ox-cart ride.

    After a Thai buffet lunch you finish the day with a very exciting and scenic bamboo raft ride meandering down the river through beautiful natural forest.

  • Day 04

    Luang Prabang (B)

    Take the afternoon flight to Luang Prabang, Laos, the UNESCO World Heritage town of historic temples, proud French architecture, rich culture, and textile treasures. Visit Phou Si to watch the sunset and have a panoramic view overlooking Luang Prabang. Then back to town to enjoy the night market.

  • Day 05

    Luang Prabang (B)

    Transfer to take a boat trip to Pak Ou Caves housing thousands of the Buddha images. Visit the rice wine distillation village Ban Xang Hai and a handicraft village Ban Xienglex. Visit Wat Xieng Thong, the National Museum formerly known as the Royal Palace with its collection of personal artifacts of the Lao Royal Family. Visit Wat Mai, the residence of a Buddhist patriarch before 1975.

  • Day 06

    Luang Prabang (B)

    Transfer to Ban Soun Luang village, a ‘Hmong’ and ‘Khmu’ village. Bamboo rafting and tubing training by experienced instructor. Visit hill tribe village ( Hmong village ) Arrive at Tad Sae Waterfall where the low cascades and minerals in the water make for turquoise pools between the trees offers a stunning sight. After Lao-style lunch. Visit a beautiful waterfall down the mountain.

    Take your time to relax, go swimming, or ‘monkey jumping’ into the cascading pools. We continue to bamboo rafting to Ban Xieng Lom. Arrival Ban Xieng Lom village Return to Luang Prabang, Overnight in Luang Prabang

  • Day 07

    Vang Vieng (B)

    Wake up early to witness the ancient Buddhist offering to hundreds of saffron robed monks as the sun rises. Depart from Luang Prabang to take a bus trip to Vang Vieng, the perfect town to explore the Laos countryside. Stay overnight in Vang Vieng.

  • Day 08

    Vang Vieng (B)

    Visit Chang Cave and breathtaking mountain scenery on the Nam Song river. Free afternoon leisure time to explore the town.

  • Day 09

    Vientiane (B)

    Take a bus trip to Vientiane. Visit Lao National Museum, The Victory Gate, Wat Si Saket, Haw Pha Kaew, and Pha That Luang, the national symbol and most important religious monument of the country.

  • Day 10

    Depart Vientiane (B)

    Depart Vientiane to your next destination.
