Tour Itinerary - 6 Days

  • Day 01

    Bangkok – Chiang Mai

    Arrive Chiang Mai, meet your guide and transfer to hotel.

  • Day 02

    Chiang Mai – Doi Suthep Temple and Chiang Mai Zoo (B/L)

    Visit Doi Suthep Temple one of Thailand's most revered Temples and must be visited. This Buddhist Temple is situated on top of the Eastern mountain in Doi Suthep-Pui National Park, which is 262.5 Square km. in extent. The mountain has beautiful views overlooking Chiang Mai City 15 Km below. Leading up the mountain is a 300 step staircase to the temple. A naga (multi headed serpent) body on both sides of the staircase follows the staircase up the mountain. The multi head serpent head is at the base of the stairs. For those who need fast access to the temple there is an elevator. See Golden Pagoda which contains holy relics of Lord Buddha. Learning about Lord Buddha's life on murals around the temple. Lunch at local restaurant.

    Continue the trip down hill to visit World's famous Chiang Mai Zoo, enjoy seeing many kinds of animals including Pandas and the largest aquarium in Southeast Asia.

  • Day 03

    Chiangmai - Mae Malai/Hot Spring - Karen Hill tribe village (B/L/D)

    07:00 am hotel Chiang Mai pick up from where you head off to visit a local market to shop for food and personal trekking items. Continue on a scenic road and stop for a short visit to a beautiful waterfall. Lunch is served at a Hot-spring where you can relax before trekking. The trek commences through beautiful jungle and local farmland scenery where you have the opportunity to see Thai farming communities.

    Continue your trek to a Karen hill tribe village where you can explore Karen hill tribe life.

    After dinner over night in the village in a Karen family's teak house. ( basic items provided are: mosquito net and sleeping sheet).

  • Day 04

    Karen Hilltirbe village - Elephant Camp – Rafting - Shan village - Chiangmai (B)

    After breakfast start trekking in beautiful jungle to an elephant camp. From here you ride elephant along the jungle mountainside to the village. From here you have an exciting bamboo raft journey meandering down the river. Here you pass light rapids until you reach the village pick up point where lunch is served.

    After lunch transfer back to your hotel in Chiang Mai.

  • Day 05

    Chiang Mai - Thai Cooking (B/L)

    This is a great opportunity to learn how to cook traditional food in a Northern Style Thai home. You begin your course by enjoying a visit to a local Thai market where you are shown how to select fresh ingredients for your course. Skilled Thai cooks demonstrate the secrets of real Thai cooking for you in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Returning home you will surprise family and friends when you can prepare authentic Thai dishes. On completing the cooking you will enjoy the efforts of your labor by eating the food in the company of the other guests. You receive a Thai Recipe Book on completion of the course. Transfer back to hotel around 3.30 pm.

    Depart Chiang Mai (B)

    Transfer to Chiang Mai Airport for your next destination.
